My name is Rhiana Isabel A. Otilano, and I go by Rhiana.
I am a Senior High School, Software Development student at iAcademy. I am 17 years old and was born on September 6, 2007, in the city of Manila, and the eldest daughter in a family of four. I strive to be adaptable, organized, and diligent. Outside of classes, I love to read books, play badminton, play games, listen to music, and photography. I’ve always been interested in learning different kinds of programming languages and my goal in life as a future Software Developer graduate is to create websites, games, and software for me and others to utilize.
To me, a fulfilling career is a combination of professional development, passion, and a positive impact on society. I believe in pursuing a career with a purpose, in which my work reflects my values and makes an impact or a meaningful contribution to society. I'm committed to continuous improvement, constantly looking for opportunities to enhance my abilities and make a significant contribution to others, perceiving obstacles as a chance for both professional and personal development. My ultimate goal is to encourage others to discover their full potential and leave a lasting impact in my field of expertise.
This project creatively blends the fundamentals of logical fallacies with the entertaining storytelling process. The goal was to create a commercial focusing on a deodorant product that used five assigned fallacies to structure the conversation and interactions. Inspired by the Ace Attorney series' courtroom drama and comedy, the students put their advertisement in a high-energy, exaggerated trial scenario, where the actors accuse each other of "crimes" while portraying multiple logical fallacies. The dramatic setting allows for exaggerated allegations, emotional arguments, and funny personal attacks, all of which clearly demonstrate the weak reasoning behind each arguing strategy. All in all the scenario provided a humorous, and entertaining chance to explore and emphasize the given fallacies in action.
This activity focuses on addressing the impacts of poor body image while also encouraging self-love and mental health. Exploring the factors that contribute to bad body image, such as influence from the media, peer pressure, and beauty standards, as well as the mental and physical consequences, such as low self-esteem, anxiety, and poor behaviors. Through personal experiences and studies, the activity addressed practical actions such as practicing self-acceptance, developing healthy habits, regulating media exposure, and creating an inviting environment. By integrating real-life insights with effective answers, it hopes to defy societal pressures, strengthen their self-image, and spread optimism to others.
